Terms of service

Plain terms for a working tool.

Last updated: 2 July 2026

These terms govern the use of co-muse at co-muse.xyz. "Studios" are the tattoo businesses that run their quoting and bookings on co-muse; "clients" are the people who get quotes and pay deposits through a studio's booking page. Using co-muse means you accept these terms.

What co-muse is

co-muse gives studios instant, consistent quotes from their own rates, learns from the hours they log, and takes booking deposits. Every price is set by the studio's own rate card. Quotes are estimates: the final price of a tattoo is confirmed by the studio at the appointment.

The studio–client relationship

Contracts for tattoo work are between the studio and the client. co-muse is the tool in the middle, not a party to that contract. Deposits paid through a studio's booking page go to the studio's own Stripe account; refunds, rescheduling and no-show policies are the studio's, and clients should raise them with the studio first. When a deposit is refunded in Stripe, the linked booking is released automatically.

Acceptable use

Your content and data

Studios own their rate cards, learned memory, quotes and booking records; co-muse processes them only to run the service, as described in the privacy policy. Studios can export their memory at any time from the app, and can request deletion of their account and its data at any time by writing to privacy@co-muse.xyz — deletion is actioned within 30 days.

Service, warranty, liability

co-muse is provided "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Quotes are estimates and do not bind studios to a final price. To the extent the law allows, co-muse's liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees the studio paid to co-muse in the twelve months before the claim; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Termination

Studios can stop using co-muse at any time and request account deletion as above. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk, with notice where practicable. Clauses that by nature survive termination (liability, data, payments) survive.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be dated here and flagged in the studio console; continued use after a change means acceptance.
